Jasper, Indiana, May 14, 2021 – PIER Group, Partners in Education and Research, today announced that CRN^®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Amy Williams, CEO/Owner, to its 2021 Power 60 Solution Providers list, an elite subgroup of honorees chosen from the highly regarded Women of the Channel list.

The women honored on this year’s list pushed forward with comprehensive business plans, marketing initiatives and other innovative ideas to support their partners and customers, helping them through the uncertainty brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic. CRN celebrates these exceptional women for their leadership, dedication, and channel advocacy.

The Power 60 Solution Providers are chosen by the CRN editorial team based on their contributions, expertise, and dedication to building strong solution provider businesses. The award recognizes an exclusive subgroup of elite industry role models who continue to drive professional success through leadership and dedication to their own organizations and the entire IT channel.

Amy, commencing right out of college, has been in the IT Channel for more than 29 years. During her first 25 years, Amy served as VP of Marketing and Partner Relationships for a localized IT partner in the Midwest. This role provided Amy the responsibility for building, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with many of the industry’s leading IT manufacturers where she formed hundreds of relationships with some of the tech industry’s leading channel chiefs. In January of 2018, Amy made the difficult decision to leverage her experience and channel skills to start her own company, PIER Group LLC. Amy’s new organization was formally founded in January 2018. The company’s sole focus, is in helping our country’s leading research entities continue to advance research and innovation, keeping our country in a leadership position on a worldwide scale. PIER Group provides specialized consulting, design, implementation, and support for many of the nation’s largest research networks and most critical high-performance research compute clusters. Due to their strong relationships with Vendors and Distributors, the PIER Group team was able to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our clients. This included – expanding net terms, developing new offerings to meet the shift to remote learning, and creating processes to allow for safe execution of onsite engagements.
